New Forest Bloodhounds Visit & Bacon Baps

May 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
new forest bloodhounds visit

We are delighted to welcome the New Forest Bloodhounds to visit us on the morning of Saturday 16th May.

This is a lovely opportunity to see these magnificent dogs up close, learn more about the pack, and meet some of the people involved in running it. Bloodhounds are known for their gentle temperament, incredible scenting ability and unmistakable long ears and soulful expressions. Seeing them together as a pack is something quite special.

The New Forest Bloodhounds are a committee-run pack based in the New Forest and are members of the Masters of Draghound and Bloodhound Association. In recent years, they have transitioned to hunting the “Clean Boot”, following the natural scent of a human runner, marking an exciting new chapter in their long and forward-thinking history.

While you’re here, we’ll be serving up proper bacon baps in the morning from 10 am, so you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast, and then the hounds will be in the yard from 11 am, so you can spend some time with them.  We’ll also have tea, coffee and cakes availble for you to enjoy

Whether you are a long-time countryside enthusiast or simply love dogs, this will be a friendly, informal morning and everyone is welcome.
